It uses the industry standard heat treated .485" dia. billet steel shaft that has been machined so the bronze gear slides onto the splines on the shaft and is machined 5/16" hex on the other end to drive most all industry standard oil pumps. The splined end is drilled and tapped 3/8-24 which holds the oil pump drive shaft into the magneto drive.
Very easy for a racer to change with basic hand tools and no roll pins, dowel pins or woodruff keys to fool with.
