Here is a little more specifics on the barrel valve. To set your leakage cap your idle circuit return and attach leak down tester to the inlet of barrel valve and adjust idle screw to set your leakage. It's that simple. Now here is the stage setting. Your barrel valve has a simple formula to achieve stage gallonage.
Idle+Spool+Screw here is an example you have 85% barrel valve leakage which flows approximately one gallon, take into consideration your spool flow gallonage (.040 is equal to approximately .9 gallon) your stage screw will give you an adjustment of approximately 2 gallons(four turns). So with your idle leakage at 85% and a .040 spool your minimum stage gallonage would be 1.9 with the stage screw all the way in simply turn the screw four turns out and you have 3.9 gallons at stage. Here is a chart on gallonage with different barrel valve spools and having stage adjustment at minimum to maximum.
Idle of 1 gallon (0 turns) (4 turns)
barrel valve spool
blank 1 3 turns
.040 1.9 3.9
.050 2.9 4.9
.060 3.9 5.9
Barrell valve currently has a -10 in and a -10 out but racer can easily change as all fittings are ORB thread.
