We carry the two popular types, #301-1273B 4.1875" x 1/16" x .175 RW. This is the #9254 steel PVD, UCR NHRA Top Fuel ring that many touring cars run. SAE 9254 Steel provides unequaled strength and fatigue resistance which extends ring life, minimizes side wear and reduces ring breakage. SAE 9254 Steel’s overall strength allows for thinner radial wall designs that reduce ring flutter and improve dynamic sealing, which extends the engine’s usable RPM range. MAHLE HV385 patented thermal sprayed face coating and MAHLE Performance SAE 9254 compression rings exceed the strength, scuff resistance and overall durability levels demanded by todays ultra-high output performance applications.
The other ring RBS carries is the tried and true, .078" Plasma-Moly Ductile Dykes compression ring. MAHLE Performance plasma-moly ductile ring sets are designed for the serious racer. These sets feature rings that maximize combustion sealing and minimize frictional losses to increase horsepower and oil control. These sets include reduced radial wall (RRW) compression rings, and oil rings to reduce tension, improve conformability and maximize power output. Ring sets with low and ultra low tension oil rings are not recommended for street use and should utilize a vacuum pump for maximum performance.
Dykes rings are .017"x .043" x 4.187" and sold each. Racer can choose ring type from drop down menu.
