Material choice for some Nitro racers is Ductile iron moly. Akerly & Childs recommends to hone with 400 grit when using this ring choice.
A standard ring set will consist of a top ring that is Ductile Moly .017" Dykes, a second ring that is a 1/16" THG Napier Phosphate coated and the third ring that is a 3/16" high tension.
Each set includes eight oil rings, eight top and eight second rings.
Rings are available in 4.187", 4.255", 4.310", 4.375", 4.467", 4.500" and many other sizes.
