RBS has found this to be first class quality when it comes to a block mounted SBC/BBC starter. This starter has twenty more percent power than any Hitachi based starter motor and is attached to a billet alum. mounting base that is offset to help clear oil pan kick outs and it has 360 degree's of clocking in 10 degree increments to help clear other parts of the race car.

Each starter is tested for amp draw as well as rotational speed. This is designed for engine blocks that use a conventional block mounted starter. Starter gear pitch is twelve degrees and is typically used with a Chevy type 168 tooth flex plates. The massive 9310 heat-treated, lock-up sprag and large rollers provide the strongest possible clutch mechanism in the industry.

This starter is recommended for engines under 430 cubic inch. For larger cubic inch engines RBS recommends the TS 400/2050-0111 starter assm. Starter includes starter gear alignment shims, detailed installation and wiring instructions.

Fits Rodeck, Donovan, KB, World, Dart, and most other aftermarket engine blocks that use the conventional starter mounting pad.
