The Clevite 77 design incorporates the strength of a copper-lead layer on a precision steel back and finally, a precision electroplated thin overlay of babbitt material only .0005" - .0008" thick.
Bearings are narrowed and have an extra .001" oil clearance for bbc or 481x engines. Bearing will have to be drilled for a dowel hole if racer is using a alum. rod with a pin.
