*** ALUM. OR BLACK ANODIZED IN STOCK SHIPS TODAY *** RBS is proud to bring the racers the finest BBC gear drive on the market. This gear drive starts off with a billet alum. cover that is machined from 7075-T6 to exact tolerances giving the motor it's best chance for accurate cam timing and the cover is O-ringed for a superior seal to the engine block. All gears are made from heat treated steel and are finish ground for complete concentricity.
The gear set includes a dual keyway crank gear, a idler gear that has the outer race ground into it using a high speed roller needle bearing and a cam gear that uses a eleven hole vernier to dial in cam timing. Gear drive includes a mounting hardware kit, thrust bearing and washers, woodruff keys and adjustable timing pointer.
The cam hub uses a massive .625" hex shaft to drive the fuel or oil pump. This gear drive is set up to be used on a standard cam cast iron block, Rodeck, Merlin, Donovan, KB and World Product cast steel and cast aluminum engine blocks or any other aftermarket engine block that uses a standard cam on a BBC.
RBS can also supply pump extensions or cam covers per the customers needs when ordering the gear drive.
